Marjolein Moorman is a Dutch communications scientist and politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the GroenLinks–PvdA group, representing the Labour Party (PvdA). With a background as a researcher and associate professor in political communication at the University of Amsterdam, Moorman entered politics as a member of the Amsterdam city council from 2010 to 2018, where she chaired the PvdA faction and focused on education and childcare. From 2018 to 2025, she served as an alderman in Amsterdam, overseeing portfolios including education, youth care, poverty alleviation, debt assistance, and urban development initiatives like the Masterplan Zuidoost. In her current parliamentary role since 12 November 2025, she advocates for equal opportunities, with emphases on education, childcare, emancipation policy, and national programs for livability and safety
