About Claire Boonstra

Claire is the founder of the Operation Education Foundation (OE), a fully independent non-profit that seeks to bring movement into education, so that it better aligns with its original purpose, with what we all want, and with what makes sense.

OE works on two fronts: on the one hand with leaders and their teams, and on the other with key actors across the education system (ministers, the ministry, inspectorate, Cito, CvTE, researchers, teachers, school leaders, and governing bodies). Together, they work to untangle the current system and to lay the foundations for a new one.

Previously, Claire was a tech pioneer and worked across many different sectors as both an employee and an employer. Through this experience, she discovered the gap between people, society, and the role education plays within it.
